(I found this picture below and started reminiscing about a time long ago!)
I remember you up there,
searching the crowd,
landing on my smile
and you sang my song.
You sang for me.
I remember you up there,
mischief in your eye,
our omelets at dawn
after nights without sleep.
You were happy then.
I remember you up there,
searching the crowd,
you can’t see me now
but still, you sing my song.
I was happy then.
Just me, in the 80’s.
Those days are distant memories. I was young, the 80’s were coming to a close and I had not a care in the world! I don’t want to go back. I’m excited about where I am! I am on a journey with the love of my life. My husband is my song now!
~2018!
It’s nice to look back but even better to look forward. I love what you said about your husband. ❤️

he will and can
bring
you to the now
from the past
with tones and words

beyond tomorrow

Beautiful. It was lovely while it lasted but we can’t live in the past forever. If we do, we’ll forget about here and now and stop living.

It was fun while it lasted! But memories tend to hold the good, the fun, and leave out the reality of what it was really like. Crazy times. I’m happy with the present!

Me too. Though I wouldn’t mind going that crazy sometimes. It’s a nice way to vent. I prefer my peace though.

Hi Kim,
I love the reminiscing, I read your award question answers, I can resonate with your answer that you wouldn’t change anything in your life…I too have Chronic health conditions, one being Fibromyalgia, which raised its head after the death of my lovely husband to brain cancer only 12 weeks after he was diagnosed.
I have just birthed my blog, teawithjennifer.blog so I’m a newbie at this, but please drop over for a cup of your favourite beverage & add a little treat of deliciousness & reflect with me for awhile, you are most welcome.

Awe. Thanks Kit! I really appreciate hearing that and yes, it is time to remember who we are today and find comfort in that. You are doing this too. With every blog I see you, magnificent, spectacular, peaceful Kit. Not all the time… who could be… but mostly! That is the gift you give me, as a reader and I am honored!~Kim
