Moody Monday (Masquerade)

Masquerade

~

a part to be played

I thought it amusing

no deciphering this gala

no riddle to be solved

.

attendance sublime

dancers seductively pursuing

magnificently masked sensations

suspended in perpetual animation

.

abruptly the music is silenced

masks floated to the floor

this masquerade is over

deceptive faces failed

.

    1. Yes, haunting. It has haunted me, but no more. It is really about seeing things, especially people for what they are. Not who I want nor expected them to be. I can see their faces clearly now and the deceits that come with them. Life is, after all, a dance! Thanks, Susan πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

    1. You got it, my world was rocked. I looked at those whose masks have fallen off and told each; I see you, I know what you did. That freaks them out. I’m not bitter but I’ll never be used as a welcome mat, ever, again! I can finally fight back and that feels really good. Really, really good. You Rock, Wendi! (Will you ever get sick of hearing that?) πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œ And thank you for the kind, words here and on your blog.πŸ’«

      1. YAY! I am so happy you can fight back and will not allow them to use you anymore. You are so strong and courageous and you do not deserve to be mistreated!
I mean every word I type and no, LOL, I may never get sick of reading that! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      1. I’m glad Kim and I hear you! You are moving in the right direction and both those things are important, moving and chosing to move in a positive, life enhancing direction! I’m eager to hear more…and have fun along the way too xx

  1. Kim, Good for you! Glad you asserted yourself, stood your ground and said “No,” to would-be users! There is such an empowering sense of freedom in that! Sometimes poetry paints the situation better and faster than a story. Great job! Mona

    1. Thank you, Mona! I’m happy to see you posting a comment here too! Breaking down borderers aren’t we???πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€“ Yep, when I said, β€œThe mask is gone, I see you in totality.” There was a generalized freak out from several people I said that too. It needed to be done and the waters have calmed, again. There’s always another wave on the way, but I so ready! 😎

      1. Kim,
One of these days, I want to meet you and get the behind-the-scenes story there. I understand that many things can’t really be discussed over the internet, but I’m so curious. Hope that doesn’t kill the cat! LOL. Mona
